Position Title:                     System Test (SW/HW) Engineer

Education:                           BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent

Experience:                         3 years minimum experience in a hands-on laboratory environment

Summary

Prysm Systems Inc., is committed to developing and promoting large format display solutions using its proprietary Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) Technology. This position is responsible for the integration, debug, and testing of Prysm’s proprietary Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) products. An understanding of complex electrical and opto-mechanical systems is necessary. Responsible for the characterization of system performance and the ability to understand how this relates to the underlying specifications is essential. The successful candidate will also be responsible for carrying out the tests, analyzing data against system specifications, and presenting test reports to engineering management.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, debug, and troubleshoot optical, electronic, and mechanical systems
  • Interface with multiple engineering disciplines to drive systems issues to closure
  • Perform system, subsystem, and component level test and characterization against system specifications
  • Validate Prysm’s proprietary software
  • Develop and perform tests and take data
  • Analyze data and prepare reports for engineering management

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
  • Multidisciplinary engineer with experience in optics, electronics, mechanics, and software is strongly preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience in a hands-on laboratory environment
  • Test software experience with at least one of the following: LabVIEW, C++, C#, Matlab or equivalent
  • Experience in debugging precision control systems, motion control, and optical feedback loops
  • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms
  • Experience with machine vision or image processing tools is a plus
  • Development experience of test software with LabVIEW, C++, C#, or Matlab is a plus
  • Ability to acquire, analyze, summarize, and present complex data
  • Proven track record of attention to detail and precision is an absolute must
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Ability to travel internationally if necessary
