Position Title: Senior EE Engineer
Location: San Jose, California

Summary
This role will be responsible for developing Schematics, BOMs, PCB layout supervision, Assembly documentation. Work with Optical Engineering, Software, Mechanical Engineering and Operations to assure that the products being developed meet the project scope and goals. In addition, the position will develop testers and the work instructions, the test procedures, and any required fixtures, tools, or jigs to support new product introductions. Will also work with Operations and Field Support to troubleshoot/debug manufacturing problems and RMAs then take corrective action, as needed. Including updating configurations and software version. Weekly review meetings to communicate task goals and status.
Typical Responsibilities
Develop schematics designs that meet system requirements including cost
Select new parts and document in ARENA and Altium design tools
Supervise the PCB layout and debug of the new assemblies
Validation process (DVT) on all PCBs and assemblies is a stressed environment: temperature, humidity, vibration, EMI and ESD
Work with NPI ensure timely delivery of EE components and testers (Board & ICT) into new product launches
Utilize Design for Manufacturing techniques to design, evaluate & improve upon current designs
for future revisions
Collaborate on risk analysis documents & exercises such as dFMEA & pFMEA
Assist the system group in the certification processes including: FCC, TUV, ESD, UL and CE
Early collaboration with system design and stake holders
Communicate effectively on the status of open projects using strong written and verbal communication skills
Assist team to meet targets for quality, delivery &; other associated measures
Represent EE/Hardware at a variety of reviews related to program launch (sourcing committee, design review, launch readiness review, program review etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned
